Everyone’s making exploding boxes at the moment, but how about this as an alternative - an Exploding Prism!

Use the templates below to cut and score the cover, outside prism and inner prism.

 

When you have decorated the inner prism, attach it to the outer one as in the diagram.

What do PDF and GSD mean?

This is just the file format of the templates.  If you would like to use the template, double click on the PDF button.   You can then print it off.

 

GSD is the file format for people with cutting machines such as the Craft Robo.    They can load this file on to their computer, and their machine will cut it out for them.

It has been pointed out to me that this is not an exploding prism, but is, in fact, an exploding tetrahedron, which sounds much grander!!!   Thank you Katharine, I shall eat a few Toblerones to remind myself how a prism should look!!!  Just my kind of homework!!
